body scans

A series of 3D body scans have been done at EdVEC and Glasgow University. From the scan data collected the best portrait will be pieced together using the most successful parts i.e. using the torso, legs and arms from one scan and adding the head, hands and feet from others.

When pieced together the final scan data will be cleaned up to remove noise, but the holes that occur naturally as part of the scanning process will not be filled.

The 3D scan will then be rigged, ready to apply the motion capture data, and subsequently render.
