EdVEC is located at the James Clerk Maxwell Building at Edinburgh University's Kings Building science campus.

Arriving in Edinburgh by car: From the edge of the city, take the city bypass, leave at Pencuik / South Edinburgh A701 interchange and head north into the city on the A701. Follow along Howdenhall Road and continue down Liberton Brae. Take a left hand fork on to Mayfield Road, and King's Buildings are to be found on the left hand side.

Arriving in Edinburgh by bus or train: From the Waverley train station or St Andrew's Square bus station find Princess St, then the Royal Scottish Academy (large stone bulding with columns at the front, half way along Princess street on the Garden side). Catch the Red LRT 42 'Circle' bus from the stop next to the Academy on the road leading up the 'Mound'. The bus will take you south to Mayfield Road, get off just before the traffic lights at the intersection with Esslemont Rd - bus every 15 minutes, cost 80p. Alternatively a taxi from the city centre will cost about £5.
